Ways To Make The Unibind Binding Process Work Even BetterWhen it comes to thermal binding, Unibind has made it extremely easy for anyone to make a perfectly bound book. But there are a few things you can do with the Unibind binding machine to make things work even more smoothly... things that can will enhance the features of Unibind binding and create a better folder that will last longer. Unibind Binding Paper - Remember that just about any kind of paper will work with the Unibind binding machine. Thick, thin, rough, or glossy... it all fits well, and it will all hold securely to the special resin used in Unibind folders. The real trick is to get the paper stacked neatly before putting it into the cover. For large projects, you might have to use a paper jogger to make sure the pages line up evenly. Once they are lined up, give the stack of paper one more tap along the edge that will go into the Unibind cover before setting it in place. Unibind Binding Process - Once you've got a good, even stack of sheets, and you've set it into the machine, make sure not to touch the paper until the green light is lit on the Unibind binding machine itself. If you're waiting for a project, there might be a temptation to fiddle with the Unibind cover as it's being heated. Just relax and wait. Unibind Binding Machine - Your Unibind Binding Machine has a cooling area for each binding area. As you lift the cover out of the heating slot, do not bend it or turn it on its edge. Keep the cover in exactly the same position, tap it on the table once to make the paper go down, and set it gently into the cooling slot of the machine. Unibind Binding Covers - Make sure that the covers are completely cooled before picking them up out of the cooling slot. If the glue hasn't hardened, the bind between the Unibind covers and your book pages will be compromised. So let it sit there for at least 2 minutes... perhaps even longer for thicker folders. Unibind Binding is one of the easiest ways to create awesome covers for brochures, phone directories, or even self-published manuals. Using the tips listed above, you'll get long-lasting books that will impress your clients, prospects, and other professional contacts.
